Brad Neffendorf is entering his 12th year of coaching, second as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Tennessee Wesleyan after a 5 year stint at Campbellsville University a yearly top 25 NAIA program. 

In 6 years at the NAIA level, his pitching staffs have put together some of the nation’s best numbers. 

Finished in the NAIA’s top 20 ERA 5 of 6 years, including three top 5 ERA’s in 2012 (2.65) #3 NAIA Rank, 2015 (2.66) #2 NAIA rank and 2016 with TWC (2.33) which was the #1 Nation’s best. 

*Campbellsville’s 2012 ERA was a program history best and 2015 with a program history second best

*Tennessee Wesleyan’s 2016 ERA was also a program history best

Finished in the NAIA’S top 3 for Base on Ball’s per Game in 2012 (1.88) # 2 NAIA Rank, and back to back Nations best in 2015 (1.35) #1 NAIA Rank and 2016 (1.88) #1 NAIA Rank

*Campbellsville’s 2015 BB/Game was a program history best

*Tennessee Wesleyan’s 2016 BB/Game was a program history best

Finished in the NAIA’S top 15 OBA in 4 of 6 years, including 2011 (.242) #10 NAIA Rank, 2012 (.229) #6 NAIA Rank, 2013 (.241) #15 Rank, and 2016 (.237) #9 NAIA Rank

Finished in the NAIA’s top 10 for Strikeouts or Strikeouts/Game in 3 of 6 years, including 2013 (415) #10 NAIA Rank, 2015 #10 in Strikeouts per game (7.51) and 2016 #3 NAIA Rank in total Strikeouts (558) and per game (8.59) #4 NAIA Rank

*Campbellsville’s 2013 total of 415 strikeout’s tied a program history best

*Tennessee Wesleyan’s 2016 total strikeouts and strikeouts per game were both a program history best

This past year two Bulldog arms were taken in the 2016 MLB Draft for their first time; Ryan Hartman was selected in the 9th round and Chevis Hoover was selected in the 32nd round.  While at Campbellsville, four of his arms were signed to Independent league contracts. 

Neffendorf has also head stints as a two year Head Coach of the Front Royal Cardinals of the Valley Collegiate League leading them twice to the VBL play-offs, after the organization had not qualified in four years, the league Division title in 2015 for the first time in 7 years and was also named the 2014 VBL All-Star game North Division Manager.  Spent three years running one of the Northwest’s elite 19u Select Club’s that won the 2008 Babe Ruth World Series and was named the Oregon Team of the year award.  Also spent two years as a head high school coach after a short stint at the JUCO level, both in Oregon and was a two-year part time northwest area scout for the Miami Marlins. 

He is Married to the Former Meghan Roth, an assistant Athletic Trainer here at Tennessee Wesleyan
