The Lady Bulldogs hosted the TWC Classic and came away with two wins, defeating Alice-Lloyd College on Friday, 62-52, and routing Brenau University on Saturday, 69-43.

Michelle Davis came off the bench to score 10 points, including two 3-point baskets, and Heather Gibson had a "3" among nine points as Wesleyan took a 29-19 lead into the intermission. Cody Houck had a layup and converted two free throws in front of a bucket by Rochellle Davidson as the Lady Bulldogs opened a 12-point advantage early in the second half.
The Lady Eagles, however, took advantage of several TWC turnovers to erupt for 12 unanswered points in just two minutes to knot the score at 35. With the scored tied at 37, Leah Frazier scored inside and Jaryn Davis buried a 3-pointer. Gibson's bucket stretched the lead to seven at 44-37. Candace Cain's three-point play opened a nine-point gap and Wesleyan was able to pull away from there.
Gibson led three Lady Bulldogs in double figures with 15 points. Davis finished with 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while Frazier added 10 points.

Both teams started cold, but it was the Lady Bulldogs that warmed to the task. Davis gave TWC the lead for good, 7-6, with two free throws at the 14:10 mark. Davis and Houck then drained back-to-back 3-pointers, Gibson added two free throws and Cain a bucket for a 17-8 lead.
Wesleyan then broke the game open with an 8-0 run. Michelle Davis had four points, Jaryn Davis and Christine Lumbasio two each, stretching the advantage to 15 at 25-10. Fraizier had four points and Houck nailed a trey to help spread the lead to 21 at the half, 37-16.
TWC continued to pull away in the second half and back-to-back 3-pointers from Lauren Murr with 10 minutes to play doubled the margin to 42 points, 62-20. Rice spent the final nine minutes emptying his bench.
Ten Lady Bulldogs scored, led by Michelle Davis with 17 points. Houck netted 13 points and collected a team-high seven rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs (3-1) travel to Wilmore, Ky., on Thursday where they will face Georgetown College at 6 p.m. and meet host Asbury College at 6 p.m. on Friday.
