Desmond Crisp of Tennessee Wesleyan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Crisp helped the Bulldogs to a 1-1 record last week as they lost 67-64 to Brescia (Ky.) but defeated Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) 97-74.
The 6-foot-5 junior wing from Bolivar, Tenn., averaged 19 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last week. He also has three assists and three steals to his credit and shot 44.1 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the foul line. His best game came against Cincinnati Christian when he posted a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds on 9-of-18 shooting.
On the season, Crisp leads Tennessee Wesleyan in scoring with 18.6 point per game and is averaging 6.8 rebounds per games. He also has 11 assists and nine steals on the year.
Tennessee Wesleyan owns a 3-3 overall record.
