This marks the second week in a row someone from Tennessee Wesleyan won this award. Desmond Crisp received the honor last week.
The 6-foot-5 junior post player from Etowah, Tenn., helped the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record last week. Tennessee Wesleyan defeated Bryan (Tenn.) 69-57 at home before posting a 68-58victory at Union (Ky.).
Last week, Harper averaged 19 points and 11.5 rebounds, had four steals and shot 41.9 percent from the field. In the win over Bryan, he scored 24 points and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds in over 36 minutes of action. Harper followed that up with a 14-point, nine-rebound performance against Union as he played all 40 minutes.
On the season, Harper is averaging 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He ranks 50th in NAIA Division II in 3-pointers made (2.429).
Tennessee Wesleyan is 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the AAC.
