Reggie Jackson stepped up for Tennessee Wesleyan scoring 23 points to lead the Bulldogs in a conference win over Union College by a final score of 72-60. Union went in front 18-11 before Kyle Shipley and Wes Suiter hit 3-pointers and Jackson scored five points to cut Union's lead to two at 26-24. Union had the lead at the break 38-31.
Jackson had a '3" and TWC went on a 15-3 run that pushed TWC in front 46-44. Down 52-48, Jesse Booher hit a 3-pointer and Jackson scored four straight as the Bulldogs went back on top, 55-52, to stay out front. Justin Hicks scored a layup and the Bulldogs converted 13 of 19 attempts from the foul line in the final six minutes.
Wes Suiter added 12 points with 8 rebounds in the win.
The Bulldogs (10-5, 13-10) will be in action again on Saturday, February 14 at James L. Robb Gymnasium to take on top ranked Bluefield (15-0, 22-5).
