The Bulldogs traveled to Bluefield, VA to take on the Rams of Bluefield College. The Rams were a sizzling 38 of 61 from the field, 10-of-20 on 3-point attempts, and pulled away in the second half to a 100-84 decision over the Bulldogs.
Bluefield drained seven of 12 3-point attempts and were 12 of 18 from inside the arc during the first 20 minutes. Taking advantage of Bluefield turnovers, the 'Dogs put up seven more attempts (37) and also made 20 buckets, but were just three of seven on treys and that proved to be the difference at halftime with the Rams leading, 52-48.
Bluefield was able to maintain that pace in the second half, putting up 48 points, while the Bulldogs slumped to 36.
Hitting 12 of 17 field goal attempts, Desmond Crisp led Wesleyan with 26 points. E'Jay Ward tallied 16 points, Quincy Scates 15 (nine rebounds) and Matt Harper 10.
