
Three seniors from Port Charlotte High School in Florida have signed their commitment letters to continue their volleyball career at Tennessee Wesleyan College. Sisters Chassity and Amber Taylor along with teammate Amy Lokker have decided to continue their playing careers together at TWC. All three were major contributors in their senior seasons helping lead Port Charlotte to one of the team's most successful seasons ever.
Chassity Taylor was a four year varsity setter earning star of the week honors two times during her senior season as well as honorable mention all-area. Chassity was named team captain for two years as well as team MVP her senior year dishing out over 1200 assist for her career, along with over 400 kills and digs.
Amber is a three year varsity player on the volleyball team playing many different positions but settling in as the libero during her junior and senior seasons. She is a two time all-area team selection and was named the team's best defensive player her senior season amassing over 740 digs and 263 aces for her career.
Finishing out the trio, Lokker is a 2 year varsity starter at the outside hitting position. Her senior year Amy was named to the all-area team and the team's best offensive player with over 225 kills and 38 blocks. Amy will also be playing softball at TWC, she is a four year varsity starter and three year team captain playing the outfield position.
All three are very active in the community outside of athletics. They are involved with many organizations such as Drug Free Charlotte, Peer Mediation, Pirate Peers and Leaders for Life, just to name a few.
