Tennessee Wesleyan Women's Soccer Coach Naomi Clarke is pleased to announce the signings of two Tennessee based players to her roster for the 2012-13 year.
Danielle Dotts, a defender from Thompson Station, TN has represented Independance HS for four years, as well as played competitive soccer for Harpeth FC & Tennessee FC in the TN State Div One league the past three seasons. Coach Clarke mentions, "Danielle brings a wealth of experience at the club level, and has great skills in her game that help her make smart decisions on the ball, make smart decisions off the ball, and more importantly, make her a strong teamate." Dotts is known to be a tenacious defender and fearless in her game, she is looking to earn a starting spot as a freshman after coming off a successful senior season with her high school team where she earned All District accolades. "I expect Danielle to fight for a starting spot on our defense immediately, I look forward to seeing her positive and determined attitude and work ethic amongst our squad, and I know that she'll be a huge assset to our program" says Coach Clarke. Dotts plans to major in Pre-Pharmacy here at TWC. Welcome Danielle!
Kaitlyn Poulakis is the team's second signing, a midfielder from Cleveland TN who has played for Cleveland HS for four years, as well as playing club soccer at the Redoubt & Chattanooga United soccer club's. Poulakis comes to TWC as a central midfield player with good vision and awareness within her game. Coach Clarke says, "Kaitlyn is a go-get-it type of person who has a goal and a dream and has worked to achieve that. She is a positive bubbly player that works hard everytime she steps on the field. She has the ability to be a play maker out of the defensive third of the field, and the ability to be a goal scorer in the offensive third of the field. We are always in need of players that are the whole package." Poulakis comes to TWC planning to study English and no doubt will be a great asset to TWC academically also. Welcome Kaitlyn!
