The Bulldogs were too quick for the Scots of Maryville College on Monday and ran away with a 100-79 win.
The Bulldogs turned a 6-6 tie into an 11 point lead within less than five minutes of starting the game. Desmond Crisp opened up the scoring run with six points. E'Jay Ward added four and Scates three to give the Bulldogs a 19-8 lead. 3-pointers were drained by Jesse Booher, Matt Harper, and E'Jay Ward to keep the lead at 11. At the halftime buzzer the Bulldogs opened a 17-point gap, 56-39, with a 3 by Quincy Scates.
In the second half, the Bulldogs extended their lead to as much as 31 with two 3-pointers by Shannon Smith, one by Matt Harper, and one by Jesse Booher.
Quincy Scates finished the game with 29 points. Desmond Crisp netted 24 points, while Matt Harper put in 8 points and grabbed seven rebounds. E'Jay Ward scored 15 points along with 9 assists and 6 steals.
The Bulldogs travel to Montreat College on Wednesday for a 7:30 pm tip off, then host Reinhardt University on Saturday for the final regular season game at 4:00 pm.
