First Baseman Jake Stone collected three of Wesleyan's 10 hits, driving in three runs and scoring three

The Bulldogs traveled to Nashville on Wednesday for a middle of the week nine inning game against Trevecca Nazarene University. Trevecca opened up the scoring in the first inning with one round, the Bulldogs came back in the top of the 2nd to score 2 runs and take the lead. Jordan Guida was walked and Dale Ricketts hit his fourth homerun of the season. 

The Bulldogs went up, 4-1 in the fourth inning with Stephen Branca hitting a home run and then a double by Jake Stone, who was scored by a single by Jordan Guida. Trevecca came back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 4. 

In the fifth and sixth innings, the Bulldogs put the game away scoring 4 and 5 runs respectively to win 13-4. Anthony Boix started the scoring in the 5th inning when he hit a double, then Stephen Brance singled. Branca stole 2nd and Jake Stone double to left center to score Branca.  Drew Levi then hit a 2 run homer. 

The sixth inning scoring started with Devin Paschal being hit by a pitch and then advancing to second on a wild pitch. Thomas Sicking reached base on a walk. Paschal and Sicking each stole a base to put runners on 2nd and 3rd, when Burnside was walked. With bases loaded, Boix was walked, scoring the first run of the inning. Stephen Branca hit a sac fly to deep left center to score Sicking. A double by Jake Stone scored Burnside and Boix, before a single by Guida scored Stone.

Stone collected three of Wesleyan's 10 hits, driving in three runs and scoring three. Branca had two hits, three RBIs, two runs scored; Guida two hits, two RBIs; Boix a hit, two runs scored, RBI; Levi a hit, two RBIs, run scored and Ricketts a hit, two RBIs, run scored.
The Bulldogs had five pitchers working at the mound with Josh McDaniel starting off the first two innings.  Jeremy Fitzgerald came in for the 3rd and 4th inning, followed by Corey Rhoney in the 5th and 6th inning.  Ben Crocker came in as relief in the 7th and 8th, then Zach Fleshman closed out the game.   Rhoney got the win for the Bulldogs. 
The Bulldogs play next on Friday, February 24th and Saturday, February 25th in two double headers against Indiana University Southeast. Fridays games start at 1:00 then the first pitch is thrown at 12:00 pm on Saturday.
