Michelle Scannell scores one of 5 goals

The Lady Bulldogs cruised to an easy victory over Davenport University on Monday. Scoring 12 goals in the first half and finishing with 18, Tennessee Wesleyan got the 18-5 win in their second NWLL match. The Lady Bulldogs are now 2-0 in the NWLL and in the top spot. 

The Lady Bulldogs had no shortage of opportunities to score in the first half controlling the ball most of the time and taking 26 shots. Tennessee Wesleyan came out in the second half to shoot 13 more times and score 6. Davenport scored 4 of their goals in the first half, and was only able to get one in the final 30 minutes. 

Leading the Lady Bulldogs was Michelle Scannell with 5 goals and one assist. Also scoring for the Lady Bulldogs was Chelsea Walsh with 3 goals, Marina Tharin with 2, Tess Sasse with 2, and Kimberly Leuthold, Kelsey Crow, Alex Crawford, Renee Bolling, Rebecca Dow, and Emily Clevenger all with one apiece.   Monica Kay spent all sixty minutes in the goal getting 4 saves. 

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to SCAD in Savannah Georgia for their next two games. They will play SCAD on March 3rd at 2:00 pm and then Siena Heights on March 4th at 12:00 pm.
