Two Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs were honored this week by the AAC. Anthony Biox was named the AAC Player of the Week and Jeremy Fitzgerald was named the AAC Pitcher of the Week.
This is the first installment of the weekly awards for baseball.
The Bulldogs went 3-0 last week and are 14-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Fitzgerald, a junior from Stuarts Draft, Va., tossed a complete-game shutout against Virginia Intermont in an 11-0 decision. He gave up five hits and no walks and fanned six.
On the season, he is 3-0 with a 5.23 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 31 innings of work.

Biox, a senior second baseman from Miami, Fla., batted .667 with two home runs with 10 RBIs. He also scored six runs. His best game came against Cumberland (Tenn.) when he belted two home runs with seven RBIs and scored four runs in a 14-9 victory.
On the year, Biox is batting .364 with three four-baggers and 16 RBIs.
