The Bulldogs (20-5) ran their winning streak to 15 games with a three-game sweep of Milligan College this past weekend and will carry a 6-0 AAC record into this weekend's showdown with preseason conference favorite Union College in Athens. Wesleyan downed Milligan 9-4 and 8-3 in Saturday's doubleheader and came back with a 13-3 victory on Sunday.

Bulldogs 9, Buffaloes 4

Wesleyan took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first. Travis Burnside doubled, Stephen Branca drew a one-out walk and Jake Stone singled home a run. Taylor Oldham followed with a three-run homer.

Leading 5-1, TWC put the game away with a four-run fifth. An Anthony Boix double, along with singles from Stone, Drew Levi and Thomas Sicking and a walk did the damage.

Josh Cullers scattered six hits, allowing three runs (two earned), while striking out eight and walking one. Zach Fleshman tossed one inning, giving up a run on one hit with two strikeouts and a walk. Oldham had four of Wesleyan's nine hits with four RBIs and two runs scored. Stone had two hits, two RBIs, two runs scored and Sicking had two hits with two RBIs.

Bulldogs 8, Buffaloes 3

TWC led 6-0 after three innings and cruised to the win. Oldham's single, an error and Jordan Guida's double gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead in the second. Boix's leadoff homer sparked a four-run third. Branca's single, a double by Oldham and Guida's two-run homer put TWC up, 6-0. A Boix double and Branca single, along with a pair of sacrifice flies, gave TWC two insurance runs in the seventh.

Jeremy Fitzgerald, throwing just 68 pitches, went the distance, surrendering three runs on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk over seven innings. Wesleyan had 12 hits. Guida had two hits, four RBIs and run scored. Boix and Branca each had three hits, RBI and two runs scored and Oldham two hits, RBI and two runs scored.

Bulldogs 13, Buffaloes 3

Wesleyan scored two runs in the third, four in the fifth, three in sixth and four in the seventh to lead, 13-1.

Josh McDaniel picked up the win, surrendering one run (unearned) on four hits, while striking out eight. Corey Collins gave up one run on four hits, striking out three over two innings and Al Yevoli one run (unearned) on three hits with a strikeout. Wesleyan pitching did not walk a batter.

Stone had three of Wesleyan's 17 hits with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Oldham had a three-run homer, two runs scored; Boix two hits, two RBIs, two runs scored; Levi three hits, RBI, run scored; Guida two hits, RBI and Burnside two hits, run scored.

The Bulldogs host five games this week starting on Tuesday with UVA Wise at 3:00 pm, then Tennessee Temple on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. This weekend they play AAC competitor, Union College, in a double header on Saturday beginning at 12:00 pm and then a single game on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
