The women's lacrosse team traveled to Kennesaw, GA to take on the Kennesaw State Owls on Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs came out on top 17 to 6.
The Owls and TWC were neck and neck for most of the first half, but TWC started to pull away towards the end of the half. By the end of the game, Whitney Dixe had 6 goals, Tess Sasse 5 , Irina Tharin and Emily Clevenger put in 2 each and Faith Bejster and Cassidy Evans had 1 goal a piece for the Lady Bulldogs.
The defense played well, Bethany Shenberger made some key saves, and Emily Clevenger had 5 caused turnovers, Cassidy Evans 4 and Erica Turgeon 2. Dixe and Christine Hatton both picked up 7 ground balls each.
Coach Tomchik said that the girls played very well for there first game, everyone played hard and gave 100 percent for 60 minutes.
The Lady Bulldogs play again this Saturday, February 28th at home taking on Missouri Baptist at 1pm.
