The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Shorter University to play on Thursday. Tennessee Wesleyan started scoring two in the first 10 minutes and taking the lead, but Shorter came to tie the game within two minutes. With 11 minutes left in the half the game was tied at 4-4, before Shorter scored four consecutive goals to take an 8-4 lead. The Lady Bulldogs came back to end the half down 9-6 and then scored the first 3 goals of the second half to knot the game at 9-9. Tennessee Wesleyan took the lead 12-10 with 3 minutes left in the half, but Shorter scored the final 3 goals of the game to get the win.
Rebecca Dow led the Lady Bulldogs scoring 3 goals. Marina Tharin put in 2 of her own as well as Renee Bolling. Also scoring one for the Lady Bulldogs was Tess Sasse, Kelsey Crow, Michelle Scannell, and Lindsey Knapp, and Emily Clevenger. Nicolette Dungee spent all 60 minutes in the goal and had 13 saves for the Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Bulldogs face SCAD-Savannah today at 4:00 pm at home. Tennessee Wesleyan, SCAD, Shorter, and Indiana Tech are all tied at the top of the conference at 6-1.
