The Lady Bulldogs hosted Montreat College, who came into yesterday's contests with a conference record of 2-6. Tennessee Wesleyan came out swinging in the first game to win 15-1 and then pulled out a 3-0 victory scoring all three runs in the 5th inning. The Lady Bulldogs are now 7-3 in the AAC. 
    
TWC jumped on top in the 2nd inning highlighted by a 3 run homerun by Brooke Ward. Montreat answered with a solo HR in the top of the 3rd to cut the score 4-1. TWC answered back in the bottom of the 3rd with a leadoff double by Rachele Moretto and RBI singles by Sunni Jackson and Stacie Nelson. Brooke Ward struck again with a 2 RBI double to cap off the third. TWC stretched the lead out of hand by adding 7 more runs in the 4th inning. With stellar pitching Brittany Kilduff ended the game in the 5th with a score of 15-1.

The Lady Bulldogs had 17 hits and no errors while Montreat had only 5 hits with one error.  Brooke Ward went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, a homerun and 7 RBI's. Sunni Jackson and Stacie Nelson each went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's each. Brittany Kilduff threw a complete game with 1 run on 5 hits striking out 4.

TWC struggled to get the bats going in game 2 but behind another strong pitching performance by Brittany Kilduff the game remained scoreless until the 5th. In the 5th, Hannah Smith lead off with a single and after a sacrifice to move Smith into scoring position, Ward came out with an RBI double. After a pitch hit RBI single by Kali Henderson, Rachele Moretto executed a perfect squeeze play to extend the lead 3-0. Montreat tried to answer in the top of the 7th loading the bases with 2 out off of Kilduff. Kelly Walker came in and strikes out the side to secure the victory 3-0

Brittany Kilduff went 6 2/3 allowing only 3 hits. Hannah Smith went 2 for 2 with a run scored, Brooke Ward went 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI.

Tennessee Wesleyan travels to Point University today for a 2:00 pm double header.
