The Lady Bulldogs hosted the University of the Cumberlands on Friday and celebrated senior day with two wins.  The seniors that were recognized before the double header was Kaiti Hubbard, Brittnie Hester, Sunni Jackson, Rachele Moretto, Myranda Hughes, and Ashley Bryson. 

TWC jumped on top in the 2nd inning on a Solo Homerun by Ashley Bryson and a RBI single by Brooke Ward. Tennessee Wesleyan extended their lead with a 4 run 4th inning highlighted by a 2 out 2 RBI triple. Cumberlands answered back in the 5th plating 2 runs and adding another in the 6th. Cumberlands then loaded the bases with one out in the 7th but Kelly Walker pitched out of the jam getting a 5-2-3 double play ball to end the game.

Kelly Walker was the winning pitcher allowing 3 earned runs while striking out 2. Sunni Jackson was 1 for 3 with a triple and 2 RBI's. Ashley Bryson 1 for 3 with a Solo homerun. 

Game 2 saw a pitcher's duel as neither team was able to get their offense going. TWC jumped on top in the 1st on an RBI ground out by Ashley Bryson scoring Brooke Ward. The Cumberlands took their first lead of the day in the 4th on a 2 run Homerun to go up 2-1. TWC answered the score in the bottom of the 4th on an RBI single by Hannah Smith scoring Brandi Lasley who had doubled. TWC added 2 more in the 5th on RBI's by Rachele Moretto and Ashley Bryson and Brittany Kilduff was able to retire them in order in the 7th to preserve the 4-2 win.

Brooke Ward was 2 for 3 with a double and a stolen base while Hannah Smith was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

The winning Pitcher was Brittany Kilduff giving 2 earned run on 5 hits striking out 6.

Tennessee Wesleyan will next travel to Columbia College on April 17th and return home for their final home games on April 19th vs. Bluefield College at 3:00 pm.
