Tess Sasse finishes career as high scorer in final two games

The Lady Bulldogs suffered two losses at the NWLL Tournament to finish in 4th place. Tennessee Wesleyan played number 2 SCAD-Savannah on Friday and were defeated 16-8. The Lady Bulldogs then played in the 3rd place game and lost to Shorter University, 13-8. 

The Lady Bulldogs only trailed by 2 at half with a score of 8-6, but were outscored 8-2 in the second half to take their first loss in the NWLL Touranment. Scoring for Tennessee Wesleyan was Tess Sasse with 2 goals as well as Michelle Scannell, Emily Clevenger, Chelsea Walsh, Renee Bolling, Rebecca Dow, and Rachel Matlock each with one. 

Nicolette Dungee spent the entire 60 minutes in the goal and had 14 saves. 

In the game on Saturday versus Shorter, the Lady Bulldogs trailed 5-2 at the half and couldn't make a comeback in the 2nd half with Shorter outscoring them 8-6. Michelle Scannell and Tess Sasse each had 2 goals for the Lady Bulldogs. Also scoring was Emily Clevenger, Rachel Matlock, Kelsey Crow and Kimberly Leuthold. Nicolette Dungee had 11 saves in the goal.
