- Cross Country
Robbiccaa Williams has signed to continue her running career with the Bulldogs. Williams is from Sunbright High School and will run cross country and track for Tennessee Wesleyan beginning in 2012-2013. "Attending Tennessee Wesleyan makes me feel as if I belong there. It is a small college just like Sunbright. Not only that, but they are starting a new track team," said Williams. "Coach Shawn's (Jakubowski) intentions are a lot like the way I started my running career at Sunbright. I could have gone to any other college that wanted me, but Tennessee Wesleyan appealed to my likes. I admire the size, nice people, affiliation, and the various degrees that I can choose from. Also, it is a place where I can start something new with cross country and track. At TWC I will not be another number on the team. I believe that God has chosen TWC for me to show himself through me while I study and run."
Coach Jakubowski "is really excited to add her (Williams) to the team. I think as a new track program, she is going to bring a lot of versatility to the program. She can run anywhere from the 100 meters all the way up to the mile and cross country. I feel like she will be a real good point getter. She is a hard worker and a great kid."
