The Tennessee Wesleyan College Men's soccer team is proud to announce the signing of Hunter Hargrove from Allatoona High School, which is located in Acworth, GA. Hunter is a wide midfielder who has started all four years at Allatoona. This year he captained the team to its first ever post-season playoff berth and has amassed a total of 5 goals and 5 assists.
Hunter has played competitive club soccer for both NASA (North Atlanta Soccer Association) where this season he led the team in points gathering 7 goals and 9 assists and Mid-City Lion's program where he was handpicked the play for his club to play in the Surf Cup, the CASL college showcase, and the Birmingham United College Showcase.
Hunter's club coach and director of coaching for the Mid-City Lion's Mickey McNeill said of Hunter, "He has a bright future as a player and is someone who is destined to play at the collegiate level. He is gifted with strength, speed, endurance, solid ball skills and good first touch, coupled with the intelligence and dedication to work tirelessly to improve his game. Hunter is well liked by all of his teammates and his coaches. He is extremely coachable, listens and is constantly trying to learn and improve his abilities, and overall knowledge of that game."
Tennessee Wesleyan College head men's soccer coach remarked "Hunter came to our attention during his junior year of high school. We managed to get him onto campus for our a visit where he impressed our coaching staff with some good play and capped the visit off when he scored a world class goal. We have stayed in touch with Hunter throughout his successful senior season and we are very happy he has chosen to continue his soccer and education at TWC."
