Coach Naomi Clarke, Head Women's Soccer Coach, at Tennessee Wesleyan College was named the 2012 Appalachian Athletic Conference NAIA Coach of Character Award recipient. Coach Clarke's accomplishments and character in competition and in the community speak for themselves. She is the campus liaison for the Champions of Character program. In that time, she has developed a program beyond any others, with a campus wide recycling effort that produces over a ton of recyclables a year, athletes participating in the local Habitat for Humanity projects, teams raising money for non-profit agencies, an angel tree at Christmas for local children, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and mentoring with local children in the schools. In 2010-2011, Tennessee Wesleyan College was named as one of the Champions of Character Five Star Institutions. In 2011, Tennessee Wesleyan was also given the AAC Champions of Character Award.
Congratulations to Coach Clarke on all your accomplishments.
