
Curriculum:
The Tennis Academy will be after school Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. The program will start August 27th and last through November 16th and will restart February 25, 2013 and will go through the school year. Clinic includes Beginner, Intermediate, and Advance Groups. We offer a personalized approach using different drills, games and match play in spirited fun team format. Eric LaRue is the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at TWC, he was formerly the Assistant Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Austin Peay State University. At APSU, he coached 6 All- Conference Players. At APSU he ran the APSU junior tennis academy. Before Austin Peay, Eric was the head Women's Coach at Kentucky Wesleyan for 4 years, at KWC he coached 4 All-conference Players. The 2010 team tied the school record for most wins in a season at 13-7. Eric was also an assistant men's coach at Western Kentucky University for 2 years after graduating from WKU.
His on court experience started at Campbellsville University where he was an all-conference, and all-district player. He was also a member of the KIAC championship team in 1990 and 1991. Eric LaRue finished is collegiate career at Western Kentucky University where he participated in the Sunbelt Tournament twice. He also served 10 years as the assistant camp director at the Wilson Tennis Academy in Ridgetop, TN. Eric LaRue had a successful post- graduation career, as well; recording 7 top 20 finishes USTA southern division rankings. Along the way he won 15 USTA Singles events and 16 USTA Doubles events.
