Tennessee Wesleyan is the odds on favorite to win the 2012 Appalachian Athletic Conference men's soccer championship, according the AAC Coaches' Poll announced Tuesday. The Bulldogs went 14-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play to finish second. Tennessee Wesleyan garnered five of the seven first-place votes in picking up 60 total points.
In the NAIA Coaches Preseason Top 25, the Bulldogs began the season, receiving votes. Tennessee Wesleyan received its first ever ranking last season at number 25 on October 11th and then moved up to 24th the following week.
The Bulldogs begin their regular season play on August 28th at Cumberland University. Tennessee Wesleyan will play their first AAC match up and home game on September 12th against Reinhardt University.
