NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Wesleyan's Luke Winter earned Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week accolades after scoring five goals in two conference victories for the Bulldogs.
The senior midfielder netted a pair of goals in a win against Point University, scoring in the third and 66th minutes. The Norwich, England, native then found the back of the net three times in a 4-1 triumph over Montreat College, scoring in the 36th, 46th and 59th minutes. TWC improved to 4-2-2 overall 3-0-0 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play with the two victories.
Tennessee Wesleyan plays at 23rd-ranked Bryan College and at home versus Martin Methodist this week on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.
