The Bulldogs and many fans traveled across the river to Dayton for AAC soccer action on Wednesday night. The Lions of Bryan College, who are currently ranked 22nd, and the Bulldogs provided a great show as they went to war for 90 minutes.
After battling back and forth for the first 45 minutes, the two teams went into the break with the score tied at zero. The action picked up in the second half with Bryan scoring the first goal just 23 seconds into the half. The Bulldogs got one on the board when the Lions scored an own goal in the 60th minute to tie the game. Bryan scored two more before time was up to defeat the Bulldogs 3-1.
TWC finished with 14 shots, 8 of them on frame, while Bryan recorded 20 shots for the game, with 12 of them on frame. Clark Lydon played 90 minutes in the goal and collected 8 saves.
The Bulldogs face Martin Methodist on Saturday at home at 3:00 pm.
