The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2013 Baseball Preseason All-America Team on Monday. The 17-member team was selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America Committee.
Among those selected was Jake Stone of Tennessee Wesleyan. Stone is a senior first baseman from Wilmington, NC. Last season, he helped the Bulldogs to win the NAIA National Championship with .692 slugging percentage. He was ranked 4th in the NAIA in total runs batted in. This summer Stone played for the Martinsville Mustangs and lead the team and the league in batting average. He was selected for the Postseason All-Star first team as well as the All Tournament team.
