The Lady Bulldogs hosted St. Andrew's University on Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs scored the game's first 12 points, hit nine first-half 3-pointers, cut their game average for turnovers in half (10) and out-rebounded the Lady Knights (47-31) en route to a 69-43 win.
Wesleyan missed its first three shots before Cody Houck and Michelle Davis drained back-to-back 3-pointers. Heather Gibson had a bucket, Houck hit two free throws and Davis added a basket for a 12-0 lead. The Lady Bulldogs cruised to a comfortable intermission advantage. 43-14.
Tennessee Wesleyan extended the lead to 36 before every player began to see time on the court.
Heather Gibson lead the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points. Sarah McKinnon scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Cody Houck netted 10 points and collected seven rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs play at Columbia on Tuesday at 2:00 pm., then host Virginia Intermont on Thursday at 5:30 pm.
