NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Wesleyan's Michelle Davis earned Tennessee Sports Writers Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolades after averaging 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in three contests last week for the Bulldogs.
Davis netted 30 points with seven rebounds in a victory over Virginia Intermont, hitting 11-of-18 field goals with a pair of 3-pointers. She was also 6-for-6 at the foul line in the contest.
The Cleveland, Tenn., native added 20 points and nine boards in a win versus Milligan College, connecting on four 3-pointers and adding two steals. Davis posted six points and nine rebounds in just 17 minutes against Columbia [SC] College as well.
She leads TWC with 12.6 points and ranks second on the club with 7.6 rebounds per game in 14 contests for the Bulldogs, who travels to Montreat College and hosts Reinhardt University this week.
