The Bulldogs took advantage of a 22 point half time lead to defeat Reinhardt 110-73 on Saturday at James L Robb Gymnasium.
TWC led 9-8 before their quick paced style of game helped them to score 12 points in a two-minute span. Tyler Burse started the run with a 3-pointer and Shannon Smith converted a three-point play, each scoring five points in the streak. Three-point baskets by Michael Nicolo and Dante Turnipseed helped TWC maintain a 12-point advantage as the half neared a close. While holding the Eagles scoreless over the final two minutes, the Bulldogs got buckets from Zamarius McClendon, Desmond Crisp, and Derek Triplett before a 3-point basket from Shannon Smith sent the Bulldogs into the intermission on top, 53-31.
TWC continued to pull away in the second half and held its biggest lead at 100-58 when Arden Beeler drained a 3-pointer with five minutes to play.
Wesleyan's bench out-scored Reinhardt, 52-26.
Tyler Burse led five Bulldogs in double figures with 24 points. Dante Turnipseed tallied 19 points; Shannon Smith 13 points and four steals; Desmond Crisp 15 points; and Zamarius McClendon 11 points, 10 rebounds. E'Jay Ward handed out 13 assists and had three steals.
The Bulldogs will host Bryan College on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
