The Bulldogs played against Tennessee Temple at home on Monday night and gained their 7th win in a row defeating the Crusaders, 93-79.
With Desmond Crisp only scoring four points in the first five minutes for the starting crew, a substitution was made of all 5 players to get the Bulldogs going. Dante Turnipseed nailed back-to-back 3-pointers, followed by a trey from Shannon Smith and three-point play by Michael Nicolo to take a 16-11 lead. To extend the lead, Matt Harper netted nine points, including two "3s", Desmond Crisp tallied eight points, Turnipseed added a third trey and Derek Triplett four points to help TWC lead, 45-35, at the half.
Desmond Crisp's dunk capped a 6-0 run to start the second half. Tyler Burse had two 3-pointers and E'Jay Ward one as the Bulldogs took their biggest lead, 82-63, with five minutes to play. Desmond Crisp finished with 22 points; Tyler Burse 16 points, seven rebounds; Smith 13 points; Harper 11 points, 10 rebounds, three steals; and Ward 11 points, five assists, three steals.
The Bulldogs host Bryan College on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
