After the 7-7 tie, three minutes into the game, the Bulldogs never trailed again in their conference win over St. Andrews University on Thursday night. With a final score of 95-85, the Bulldogs are now 11-1 in the conference and 18-7 overall.
The Bulldogs found their biggest lead of the half at 11, 37-26, with 7:28 left. The Bulldogs held a 48-39 halftime advantage.
In the second half, TWC went on a 10-0 run that included two buckets by Zamarius McLendon, two by Crisp, and one by Tyler Burse, which gave the Bulldogs their largest lead (17) of the game at 85-68 with 6:23 to play. The Bulldogs cruised on for a 95-85 victory.
Zamarius McLendon led the way with 25 points, while Desmond Crisp had 22, Tyler Burse 19 and Matt Harper finished with 14. TWC out-rebounded the Knights, 56-45, with McClendon grabbing 12 boards. Derek Triplett had nine rebounds, while Tyler Burse and Josh Williams each had six.
The Bulldogs have the weekend off and come back on Wednesday to travel Virginia Intermont for a 7:30 pm game.
