On March 11, the Bulldogs traveled to Florida to take on University of North Florida (3-1), Jacksonville University (4-1), and #9 Southwestern University (4-3).

While the first quarter against North Florida looked like the bus ride down to Florida had taken a toll on the guys, they came out in the second and third quarters strong. Then with a 3 to 1 fourth quarter the Bulldogs just slammed the door shut.

"With this win it put us 2-1 in conference which is pretty good", says Coach Young, "But the heart of our conference play starts next Saturday against Emory."

The offense was lead by Ryan Horvath, 3g 1a, and Joel Gossner, 2g 2a. The defense was lead by Kyle Howell with 3 groundballs and 1 goal and Brandon Singleton with 7 groundballs. Anthony Hunt dominated the face-offs winning 15 of 21. "Offense wins games. Defense wins championships. But face-offs makes it all happen", Anthony Hunt.

On March 12, the Bulldogs took on future NCAA Division I Jacksonville University. While the game was delayed two hours due to a scheduling error, the Bulldogs came out strong and never let up.

"We just beat a future NCAA Division I lacrosse program", Coach Young said enthusiastically, "Does this mean that we should go Division I? No! But it proves that any team, any day can beat anyone."

Joel Gossner contributed to 7 of the 15 goals, 3g 4a, followed Jon Montague, 4g 1a, then by Andrew Congleton and Elliott Woods, 1g 2a. John Lemoine had a great game making 10 saves and only allowing 2 goals. Playing well in front of him was Brandon Singleton, 6gb, and Tyler Willeson, 5gb. At the face-off x, Anthony Hunt dominated again winning 10 of 11 in the first half and second half was controlled by Derek Bookout winning 2 of 4.

On March 14, after a day's rest the Bulldogs took on #9 Southwestern University, a future NCAA Division III lacrosse program. The Bulldogs came out very physical controlling the tempo from the first whistle and finished with the high intensity all the way until the last whistle. While the guys were down from the first quarter they never gave up and kept clawing back, then with two minutes to go in the game Elliott Woods scored the go ahead game winner. "I knew I could beat my man and then after that it was just finding the back of the net", Elliott Woods says about the game winning goal, "After I scored I knew the defense would hold them and we had won a big game."

"I don't know what to say", stated Coach Young, "The guys fought hard and beat a top ten team in the nation. They were behind the whole game but just kept fighting. That says a lot about the character of this team."

The offense was controlled by all three starting attack men: Joel Gossner, 3g 1a, Ryan Horvath, 2g 1a, and Elliott Woods, 2g. The goaltending was outstanding by both goalies: Ryne Owens, 9sv, and John Lemoine, 9sv. Again the face-offs we controlled by Anthony Hunt winning 13 of 20.
