The Lady Bulldogs began conference play on Friday against St. Andrews University. Tennessee Wesleyan improved to 6-7 on the season and 2-0 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference with 7-2 and 10-2 victories over the Lady Knights.
In game one, Stephanie Bridges, Brandi Lasley, Kali Henderson, Stacie Nelson, Amy Lokker and Lindsey Arndts all had two hits with Arndts driving in three runs. Brittany Kilduff went five scoreless innings to pick up the win, allowing four hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
In game two, the Lady Bulldogs trailed, 2-1, before ending the game in six innings with nine runs in their last three at- bats. Lasley and Henderson each had three hits with an RBI. Nelson added two hits with three RBIs; Bridges two hits with two RBIs, two runs scored and Arndts two hits, two runs scored.
Kelly Walker went the distance, giving up two runs on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks.
TWC will host the University of St. Mary on Wednesday starting at 3 p.m.
