TWC Women's Lacrosse took on the Lady Eagles of Reinhardt in what turned out to be a goal for goal match. Paige Falkowski returned to the pipes for the Lady Bulldogs and was able to make 14 saves in the game. The Lady Eagles came out strong with two goals within the first 3 minutes of the game, their second coming off a man-up play due to a yellow card.
The Lady Bulldogs came back strong scoring 2 goals off of free positions from Sharon Acoff and Kelsey Crow within a minute of each other. Reinhardt answered back with a goal before Tennessee Wesleyan added two Chelsea Walsh goals to make the score 4-3 in the first half. The lead changed again in favor of Reinhardt with the last two goals of the half taking a 5-4 lead before Kelsey Crow tied the game at 5 apiece with nine minutes left in the first half. The Lady Bulldogs took control of the rest of the half putting two more on the score board from Chelsea Walsh's third goal to make a hat trick in the first half and one from Cheyenne Bray.
Crippled by yellow cards in the first half of the game, Rachel Matlock was able to start the second half strong by striking before the Lady Eagles were able to put four unanswered goals past goalkeeper Falkowski to make the score 9-8. Kelsey Crow answered back with two of her own, to make four goals on the game for her. Chelsea Walsh also put one in the back of the net, making it her fourth goal of the game, to put the score 11-9 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Eagles were able to put two more up on the board before receiving their 5th yellow card of the game to put the playing field even to 11 girls for each team. With 14 seconds left, Lady Eagles Kaleigh Clarke was able to put the game winner past Paige Falkowski.
Ashton Taylor led the defensive unit with two caused turnovers and two ground balls, while Anna Headen also had two caused turnovers on the day as well.
