The Tennessee Wesleyan College Lady Bulldog golf team won for the second time in two starts capturing the Montreat College Invitational.
Consistency was the key as the women posted two day scores of 337 and 337 for a total of 674 and a 43 shot victory over second place Spartanburg Methodist College. The 674 total was a new school record for 36 holes. The Lady Bulldogs were led by tournament medalist Megan Cox who shot a 76 + 75 = 151. She was followed by tournament runner-up Samantha Cheatham who fired an 83 + 80 = 163. The remaining team scores included Natalie Foster (175), Britany Rader (185) and Jenna Lewis (199). The team will next be in action at the 2009 Reeder Cup hosted by Covenant College at Lookout Mountain Country Club on March 30 and 31.
