The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Reinhardt University for their final conference game on Thursday. Wesleyan was defeated previously in the season when they hosted Reinhardt in a close 11 to 12 game.
Goals were exchanged in the first half to leave the game tied at 3 when the buzzer sounded. Reinhardt scored the first goal of the game, but the Lady Bulldogs answered that with two goals of their own by Kelsey Crow. Reinhardt answered with two more to take a 3-2 lead. Nicolette Dungee put in the final of the half with six seconds left on a free position shot.
The Lady Bulldogs scored the in the first minute of the second half to take the lead 4-3. Chelsea Walsh followed with a goal of her own to extend the lead. Reinhardt put in one of their own, but the Lady Bulldogs responded with two more to make 7-4. Reinhardt scored another half way through the period but once again, TWC answered with two more of their own. A free position shot for Reinhardt game them their sixth goal. With 3 minutes left in the game the Lady Bulldogs took a 10-6 lead off a free position goal from Nicolette Dungee. In the final two minutes of regulation Reinhardt scored four to knot the game at ten and send the game into overtime.
Kelsey Crow scored the only goal of the overtime period to give the Lady Bulldogs the win, 11-10.
Kelsey Crow led the Lady Bulldogs with four goals. Nicolette Dungee had three goals for Wesleyan, while Chelsea Walsh had two goals and three assists. Paige Falkowski spent the entire time in the goal and had 10 saves.
The Lady Bulldogs host Converse College on Saturday at 4:00 pm for their final regular season game.
