The Lady Bulldogs hosted Virginia Intermont on Sunday for a Strike Out Cancer game. The team raised over $400 for the American Cancer Society. The Lady Bulldogs were defeated, 3-7 and 0-3.
Virginia Intermont came out early to score two runs in the first and then one in the third and three in the fourth to take a 6-0 lead. The Lady Bulldogs scored one in the fourth and then two more in the 7th but it wasn't enough. Kali Henderson had two hits including a double and a run. Courtney Gobble also had a double. Stacie Nelson and Hannah Smith each had two hits. Brittany Kilduff took the loss pitching four innings, giving up six runs, and striking out seven. Ashley Miller came into finish the game giving up three hits, one run, and striking out two.
Kelly Walker pitched all seven innings of the second game and took the loss giving up three runs on seven hits. Virginia Intermont scored two runs in the 2nd and the final run in the 7th. Amy Lokker, Kali Henderson, and Lindsey Arndts each had hits for the Lady Bulldogs.
