Hannah Smith was named the AAC Softball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Smith, a sophomore from Maryville, Tenn., batted .571 with one home run and seven RBIs. She also scored nine runs as Tennessee Wesleyan went 6-0 last week. In a 9-2 win against Union, she went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, two stolen bases and three runs scored.
On the year, Smith is batting .328 with three doubles, three triples, a homer and 22 RBIs. She ranks 19th in the NAIA in total assists (88).
The Lady Bulldogs are 21-15 overall and 11-7 in the AAC.
