Bret Wade of Tennessee Wesleyan and Tatum McMahon of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly awards, and this marks the first time either Wade or McMahon had won.
Wade, a junior from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., helped Tennessee Wesleyan to a 6-3 win over AAC rival Reinhardt last week. He won his singles match 8-5 and doubles match 8-2. He is 10-5 in singles play this season.
Tennessee Wesleyan is 9-6 overall and 2-1 in the AAC.
McMahon, a junior from Walnut Creek, Calif., won all three of her matches last week, including her singles match against No. 20 Lee (Tenn.) Versus Lee, McMahon posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory in No. 4 singles. She is 10-6 in singles play this season.
Tennessee Wesleyan is 7-9 overall and 1-3 in the AAC.
