The Tennessee Wesleyan College men's golf team placed second in the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament held at Tims Ford State Park on Monday and Tuesday.
Wesleyan shot the lowest round in the final two rounds of the 54-hole event, but couldn't overcome an 11-shot lead Milligan College held after the opening round. The Buffaloes finished with a team total of 870 (287, 295, 288) with the Bulldogs shooting a 877 (298, 292, 287). They were followed in order by St. Andrews (879), Virginia Intermont (883), Union (891), SCAD-Atlanta (896), Reinhardt University (896), Bryan College (1003) and Montreat College (1060).
Cody Godfrey paced the Bulldogs scoring with a 216 and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Keoni Vidrine shot a 220, Josh Wheeler and Zack Hester each had a 222 and Jordan Haugen added a 229.
