KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The 2013 All-Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Team was unveiled Tuesday at the conference tournament, the league announced.
Earning Player of the Year honors is Jake Stone of Tennessee Wesleyan, while Jarrod Jameson of Tennessee Wesleyan claimed the Pitcher of the Year award. Billy Berry of the Tennessee Wesleyan is the Coach of the Year.
Tennessee Wesleyan won the regular-season championship with a 20-3 league mark.
Stone, a senior from Wilmington, N.C., leads Tennessee Wesleyan with a .375 average to go along with 19 doubles, a triple, 11 home runs and 49 RBIs. He owns a slugging percentage of .668 and a .453 on-base percentage.
Jameson, a junior left-hander from Oklahoma City, Okla., owns a 12-0 record with a 2.61 ERA. He has 57 strikeouts and 19 walks in 72 1/3 innings of work.
