The Lady Bulldog runners add six to the roster for the 2013-2014 season.

Leah Chance- from Oak Ridge, she will run cross country and distance in track.  "We are planning on Leah helping our women's top five qualify for nationals.  Leah and her teammate Mariah are key players in building the women's distance program.", said Coach Jakubowski  Her PR's are: 5k- 19:36, 800- 2:30.  She wants to major in sports medicine.





Mariah Zawisza- from Oak Ridge will run cross country and distance on the track.  "We are planning on Mariah and her teammate Leah to propel the women's team to a conference championship in cross country.", said Coach Jakubowski.  "We also plan that she will place top five in the

conference meet, helping the women qualify for nationals as well."  Her PR's are: 5k- 19:00, 800- 2:26.  She will be an education major.




Lauren Barnes- is a transfer from UNC Asheville who is a distance runner.  "She will be a key component to building our women's distance

program and will help make a solid top five on our cross team, which will help our performance at conference.", Coach Jakubowski said.  Her PR's are: 5k- 19:17, 800- 2:30, mile- 5:21.  She plans on being an exercise science major.




Ceantra McBee- from McMinn County.  "Ceantra will be a sprinter for us and will be key to building depth to our women's sprint team.  She has a great work ethic and already fits well with current team members.", said Coach Jakubowski.  "She will run the 200 and 400 for the upcoming track season, which continue to make our women's program very competitive."






Joy Elfstrom- from Heritage High.  "Joy will be a key component to a strong women's distance program next year with her cross town rival Kelsey Marshall also committing. She will be part of our strategy to being a strong, competitive team at cross country conference in November.", said Coach Jakubowski.  Her PR for the 5k is 21:50.





Kelsey Marshall- from William Blount.  "Kelsey will be another key player for the cross country conference title next year. She and Joy are adding a level of depth to the team that will ensure a strong finish in the conference meet, as well as outdoor track.", said Coach Jakuboswki.  Her PR for the 5k is 21:42.
