The men's lacrosse team was at North City Elementary on Monday, promoting the game of lacrosse to the young children of the City of Athens.

Ms. Lacey Murphy's, 5th grade class at North City, was pleased at the opportunity to better understand the new sport that Tennessee Wesleyan College has brought to the City of Athens. Coach Young and the lacrosse team were excited about going to the 5th graders class when they heard that the class had been reading about the game of lacrosse and wanted to know more. "We were just promoting the game that we love" commented Ryne Owens. "And the kids loved it." While there is no youth lacrosse in Athens currently, Coach Young hopes that this will be the spark that he needs to gain interest in the community to start youth lacrosse and maybe even high school lacrosse in McMinn and the surrounding areas.

Saturday, April 4th @ 2pm is TWC men's lacrosse last home game of the year. We encourage everyone to come and support the Bulldogs as they take on #24 Kennesaw State University for control of second place in their conference. As always admission is free.
