The Bulldogs hosted newcomer to the AAC, Truett-McConnell College, yesterday for a game of soccer. TWC came out on top at the end of 90 minutes winning, 2-1, and remaining undefeated in the AAC.
The game went scoreless for the first 25 minutes when TWC was awarded a pentlty kick. Martyn Freestone stepped up to take the shot and go thte first goal of the game. Truett McConnell worked to score in the 36th minute and leave the game tied at half.
In the second half both teams worked to break the tie with the Bulldogs outshooting the Bears 7-4 and finally hitting the net. Nduka Kemjika scored in the 71st minute off a pass from Morgan Marsh who was awarded the assist.
Clark Lydon played the whole 90 minutes in the goal with one goal against and one save.
The Bulldogs play on Saturday against the University of the Cumberlands at 3:00 pm.
