The rain stopped before the Bulldogs took the field on Saturday against the University of the Cumberlands but it was still wet and muddy conditions for what turned out to be a 3-1 win for TWC. The game was tied at half with no one scoring until the final 30 minutes.
Ross Nelson scored the first goal of the game with an assist by Danny Plumbe in the 61st minute. Just one minute later, Nduka Kemjika scored the Bulldogs second goal with assists by Danny Plumbe and Morgan Marsh. Cumberland scored in the 70th minute to try and comeback, but Morgan Marsh put in the guarantee goal in the 78th minute.
Clark Lydon had five saves for the Bulldogs.
TWC travels to Georgia Gwinnett on Saturday for a 7:00 pm kickoff.
