The Lady Bulldogs climbed from fourth to third in the AAC standings with a 2-1 victory over the Lady Skyhawks.

TWC improved to 8-6 overall and 6-2 in the conference behind first-place Reinhardt University (6-0-1) and Montreat (7-1). Truett-McConnell is fourth at 6-2-1.

The Lady Bulldogs snapped a scoreless deadlock with goals from Amelia Panayi and Daelyn Swafford, assisted by Swafford and Christa Rogers, respectively, during a five-minute span of the second half to go ahead, 2-0.

Point cut the deficit in half with a goal in the 63rd minute, but would get no closer.

Each team had nine shots with TWC keeper Jaimee Moreland recording one save.

The Lady Bulldogs host Union College on Saturday at 1:00 pm for Senior Day.
