NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Wesleyan's Armeka Booker garnered Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association, recording her fifth double-double of the season for the Bulldogs.


The Oak Ridge, Tenn., native posted 26 points and 12 rebounds against 13th-ranked Talladega College, hitting 9-for-21 shots from the field and 8-of-9 at the foul line. It was her sixth 20-plus point outing of the season and third straight double-double for Tennessee Wesleyan.  She is averaging 21.6 points and 12.0 rebounds per game this season, ranking seventh nationally in points per game and eighth in rebounds per contest.

TWC, 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, returns to action January 2 at St. Andrews University.
