The Bulldogs traveled to Bryan College on Wednesday to defeat the Lions 81-67.
Wesleyan jumped out to a 19-12 lead 10 minutes into the first half with Tyler Burse and Shannon Smith doing most of the damage for the Bulldogs. TWC had the lead for most of the first half and enjoyed a 37-30 halftime advantage.
The Bulldogs quickly took control of the game with a 14-10 run to start the second half and led, 51-40, with 13:41 to play. Smith sparked the streak with a trey with Tyler Burse, Devante' Jenkins, Andrew Scofield and Jeremy Davison all scoring during the run. The Bulldogs continued to pound away and eventually led by 20 points with 2:18 to play on the way to an 81-67 win.
Burse finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds and Smith had 18 points and five assists. Scofield had 18 points while Hosey had 10 points and seven assists. Jenkins had 10 points and five rebounds.
