Armeka Booker of Tennessee Wesleyan and Tyler Burse of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's and Men's Basketball Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This marks the first time this season Burse has received the award, but this is the third time Booker has earned the honor.
Booker, a 6-1 Post player from Oak Ridge, averaged 19 points a game. She had a double double on Saturday against Montreat with 20 points and 10 rebounds. She had 5 blocked shots for the week.
Burse, a 6-6 senior post from Layfette, GA helped the Bulldogs to two conference wins this week with 29 points against Point and then 33 at Montreat on Saturday. Burse had 13 rebounds on Wednesday with 3 blocks. Burse added 8 rebounds and 2 assists to the stat sheet for Saturday.
