ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Tennessee Wesleyan contines to move its way up the rankings as it is now No. 21 in the the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday.
Tennessee Wesleyan (14-3 overall, 11-2 Appalachian Athletic Conference) received 124 total voting points to jump from No. 23 to 21. TWC is 17 points back of No. 20 Oregon Tech and 14 ahead of No. 22 Friends (Kan.).
Two other AAC schools received votes. Union (14-6 overall, 10-2 AAC) picked up 53 total points, 13 more than last week, but it is still three spots outside the top 25. Bryan (14-7 overall, 9-3 AAC) lost two points from last week, garnering only 4 and is nine positions outside the top 25.
The next poll will be released on Feb. 4.
